konnichiwa Tokyo!

Tokyo again! Beginning 2011, I discovered a little of Japan for an entire month, and I am so glad and excited to be back this same year. Starting by the fact that I LOVED every single moment I spent there and every detail about Tokyo. This time I'm going back as an special guest for the Vogue Fashion's Night Out
Everything is beyond promising, and it is time to start arranging luggage and remember those intense memories(plus going back to my favorite places!) I can't wait to share everything with you!
PS.You can visit my profile for the brand new japanese website called Ultrabloggers here

double take

foxtails bought in Tokyo, Zara skirt & shirt, Chanel sunglasses

little bit of blue

Wearing my latest acquisitions from Paris and Madrid. All together with my best party-souvenir from the Dsquared2 party at the Ritz back in Paris Fashion Week. Feels special wearing it due to the fact Dean&Dan put it in my arm themselves. Another plus from fashion weeks is always the great parties happening around(plus the beautiful souvenirs)
Givenchy bag, Zara shirt and trousers, Dsquared2 bracelet

en plus, Givenchy

I found this Givenchy shirt a few weeks ago, and right away it got on me that it was my favorite shirt pick from the last Fall. Gold and sheer black silk works always so well, and these inserted studs on the cuffs and in the front make this shirt perfect. The fact of discovering that it had the enough length to wear it as a dress was that plus needed to decide the piece was worth for the closet (I wonder why do I always have to find this excuses to cheer myself up, do you happen to do this?)
Anyway, it's monday, and it feels fair to find things to cheer you up. In my case, I did it with eating topped strawberry nutella crepes, coffee, and  watching the 5th season of Sex & the City, which I actually watched the whole weekend.
Good times! What is it that cheers you up always?

Givenchy meow!

Exactly two weeks ago, my heart STOPPED. I entered the Givenchy boutique, and the first thing I saw was the black panthers and their fierce eyes looking at me. A minute after, I just focused my view on this bag. I felt fragile, seduced, and hypnotized by every detail it had, and I knew I finally had found it. It was the perfect bag!
I love the dark-sided view of Givenchy, and this time, it  went deeper and more provocative than ever. I'm fascinated by their fall collection, and specially by my new bag.

Alexander wang boots, Acne dress, Topshop jeans, Givenchy cardigan
This has been kind of my uniform for the past days.
With the crazy weather always changing and getting colder, this givenchy paired with my most wearable shoes so far -my alex wang boots- is just perfect.
Have a great week everyone!

love

I was asked by Commons&Sense magazine to say the word "love" for their special issue and this is  what it looked like in the end. Spread the love!
Kate Moss for Topshop dress, YSL shoes

Black suited

I picked these full wide leg trousers in Madrid's airport at Zara 3 weeks ago and then bought the blazer in Paris. I'm so in the mood for complete uniforms that make statement, and these couple made a really good match. A very urban uniform  I'd say influenced by Céline and Balmain together, luckily at Zara price. I wore it with this Gucci vintage bag, and hair slicked to keep it strong.
Have a great weekend!

Denni Elias for Mode Gal magazine cover

It seems  unreal when you see yourself on the cover of a magazine. One year ago this fact wouldn't have crossed my mind.
About 2 months ago I was shot by the NYLON Japan team to be on their special issue, Mode Gal,  in a very large spread (12 pages of it!). I was thrilled and excited for collaborating with them and honored for being chosen  to be kind of the "image" of EModa (coolest Japanese brand and designer) in this issue.
One day before the shoot, I didn't know if I was reading well in the itinerary sheet, but it said something like this: " Shooting Denni for the cover at the Studio". Wait!!.. on the cover?! (I then remembered I actually saw the magazine when I was in Tokyo with Lindsay Lohan on the cover..)

Now that the magazine is out, the 2nd issue, it all becomes more real. Much more when I receive so much great e-mails sending me the news that I'm on the cover everywhere in Japan!  Everything at the shooting for the magazine went  so well, and honestly, I was so nervous for the cover!
Thank you so much to the lovely NYLON Japan/ ModeGal team, the sweet designer Ena, Saga, an amazing photographer, and each one of you, for appreciating what I love doing!

I'll soon post the complete spread!
Bisous,

sunday

Acne sweater, Vintage cardigan, Gianfranco Ferré pants, Frankie Morello shoes, Wolford tights
I'm determined to start arranging and taking out the winter clothes later today. And before that I'll finish picking the photos I took from the Acne showroom on friday and will eat something that makes me feel really really warm. I'll probably skip the first sentence too, and will stay in bed, it's sunday!

Miss Magdalena

I feel excited about this look from the Vogue Paris october issue. (for those leather shorts too!)
Paris got so cold this weekend, I wouldn't think that last week we were still sweating and wearing
everything barelegged.

along the champs

YSL vintage silk shirt, vintage cut-offs, bcbgMaxAzria shoes, mom's gold bracelet
This shirt's smoothness and the subtle printed design and statement green shade makes it one of my favorite vintage ones. It is an Yves Saint Laurent I hadn't used because I was keen on using it only with a black pencil skirt, which now I'll save for later. Denim cut-offs seemed like the right choice this time. Actually, so many times cut-offs are THE right choice!

Autumn leaves

Givenchy cardigan, Adidas pants, Stella McCartney heels, Gucci Bag
At last the weather was chilly enough yesterday to wear my latest purchase, this givenchy cardigan. I actually got it a few weeks ago for the paris fashion week thinking it would be a perfect match for the cold weather, It turned out to be anything but cold.
Fashion month is over now and I still have lots of pictures to share with you!
